Hen Eglwys was a medieval chapel built c1470 and appears to served the local community who lived near the Abbey. The Abbey Church being restricted to the Monks. The stone Chapel was recorded in woodlands in 1902 but now stands on open ground on Graig Fawr above Margam Castle.
