2 war memorials stood here b4. Built by AU POWs 2 commemorate dead JP & Allies who fought @ Battle of Bukit Timah WWII. Both memorials destroyed aft war. Only road & stairs remains. Source: Wikipedia

Come learn about Syonan Chureito, the Japanese memorial to their war dead, that once stood on this site. Plus the smaller memorial to British and Australia war dead that also stood here.
